How to adjust fading on Hue Dimmer to have finer steps
In this example, we’ll show you how to set up finer steps for the fading of the Hue Dimmer.
If the switch has not yet been configured for dimming in iConnectHue, this must be done first. For this, you can use the wizard, which may save time, or use the steps below:
Go to “Devices” menu and select your device.
Select the Button that you want to edit and then tap “Edit manually” or “Add first action”, depending on what is available.
Select the “Increase brightness” action.
Once the switch has been configured, the dimming behaviour can be adjusted:
Tap on the small arrow and decrease the amount of brightness change to a value of your choice. The available values are between -100% and +100%. Additionally, you are able to set the fade time here. Tap “save” afterwards.
After tapping “save”, the new setting is active. In this example, the brightness increase is changed from 10% before to now 5%.
You can do the same for holding the button, after selecting the “Hold” tab, in case you also want the long press to be finer. Analogously, you can set the same settings to decrease the brightness.
