How to cancel a motion sensor with a physical button (switch)
In this example, we’ll show you how to set up a button or a switch to cancel a motion sensor, so it won’t trigger its inactivity actions.
One purpose of this function is to let your switches override your Motion Sensor, which then won’t disturb your selection, the other to combine two Motion Sensors for the same area.
Go to “Devices” menu and select your switch.
Select “Add new action”.
Select “Cancel motion sensor” and choose the motion sensor you’d like to cancel.
Make sure that you’ve activated “Only react when groups are off” in your sensor’s settings.
